Fish OilNov 05, 2008 I have used this product for some 4 years now. The product is quite good and clearly very beneficial to individuals looking for a good source of omega-3. I would also recommend the cod liver oil sold by the same people.
Great StuffOct 29, 2008 The high quality oil and the lemon flavor make it very easy to keep up with a teaspoon every day. We've consumed over a dozen bottles to date without noticing any change in quality or flavor from one bottle to the next.
We chose the fish oil over the cod liver oil because the liver oil has a lot of Vitamin A, and unless it is the safe beta-carotene type, that can be a problem, especially in combination with other Vitamin A sources. We've been ordering from Vitamin Shoppe through Amazon Marketplace and find the price including shipping to be lower than in the store, and it has never taken more than 7 days to get here.
No Fishy TasteSep 13, 2008 I have taken Carlson Fish Oil for two years. It is easy to take, doesn't taste bad and best of all there is no after taste. I prefer the lemon flavor and I only buy the smaller bottle so I can use it up in the time stated on the bottle.
Carlson Fish OilAug 03, 2008 What a great product! I was initially very skeptical; I didn't believe something labeled "fish" oil wouldn't taste like fish. I myself really despise the taste of any sort of fish, but I had heard about the benefits of the oil and wanted to try it.
I highly recommend this product, just take a teaspoon-full of the oil twice a day with a meal. The consistency is just as you might expect, like you've taken a swig of olive oil. There is no immediate taste when you first have it in your mouth, then when you swallow it the only thing you can detect is a slight lemon flavor. There aren't any 'fish burps' either, the only thing you -might- taste is the slight lemon flavor, but if you've eaten a meal with the oil there is no taste at all.
The bottle directs you to keep the oil refrigerated after opening and recommends using it within 3 months. The expiration date is not for another 2 or 3 years past this though, so I'm sure you'd still be safe if you didn't finish it in 3 months.
Omega 3Jul 20, 2008 This is the best tasting fish oil I have tried, it doesn't leave an after taste and you don't get to taste it all day long.
